One don’t need to pay the entire amount i.e Rs 3,32,150. One only have to pay 15% to 20% of the total amount and this is what called as the margin amount. Then assume that on the day following it , the HDFC share dips to Rs 510. So the difference will be Rs 2 per share (i.e 512 – 510) Since the price has gown down, Rs 1,300 (i.e Rs 2 per share x 650 shares) will be debited from your account.
